NEW DELHI: BTech in artificial intelligence is one of the most trending courses these days given the demand of AI in various sectors and high-paid jobs. Some of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) offer BTech in Artificial Intelligence. Students who have qualified the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 exam will be able to apply for admissions to the course after the second session. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared JEE Main result 2024 recently for session 1.
Last year, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology started offering the artificial intelligence engineering programme in addition to NIT Surathkal. NIT Surathkal is the first NIT to start a four-year BTech course in artificial intelligence. The course was launched in the academic year 2021-22.
The NIT cut-offs for BTech artificial intelligence are usually high, however, the cut-offs saw a dip over the last three years. The highest cut-off at which an NIT closed admission to engineering in artificial intelligence last year was 2,973 at NIT Surathkal for candidates outside Karnataka.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be conducting the counselling process for admission to NITs based on JEE Main 2024. There will be six rounds of JoSAA counselling 2024.
