After interviewing 20 shortlisted candidates, Mumbai University likely to get a vice-chancellor by the end of this month. The selection-cum-search committee shortlisted five candidates, including a former pro-vice-chancellor, two women - Archana Sharma & Jyoti Jadhav, and a candidate from Banaras Hindu University - Tej Pratap Singh. The Governor and chancellor of state universities, Ramesh Bais, are set to appoint the vice-chancellor after interviewing the shortlisted ones on May 26. Pune University's five candidates' interviews will also be conducted in the coming week for the same post.
