Chonira Belliappa Muthamma, the first woman to clear the Indian Civil Services exams. She was the first Indian woman diplomat to join the Indian Foreign Service in the year 1949 and also became India's first woman IFS Officer and High Commissioner. She was born on 24 January 1924 in Karanataka.
