New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has been admitted to the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi following post-Covid complications. According to his office, the Education Minister's condition is stable. Mr Pokhriyal had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 21 and had resumed office after recovery.
According to sources, the minister is admitted under Dr Neeraj Nischal, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). "He (Pokhriyal) was admitted due to post-Covid complications on Tuesday morning. He is admitted under Dr Neeraj Nishchal," a source said.
While announcing that the Union Minister of Education is Covid positive on April 21, Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said: "This is to inform you all that I have tested Covid positive. I am taking medication and treatment as per the advice of my doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to get themselves tested."
